The trip so far has been amazing! Lots of pictures.

A sunset in Llyodminster, Alberta
After leaving Llyod we set sail for Edmonton, the first stop, West Edmonton Mall!
We both walked around and visited a bunch of cool stores. Ryan bought his John Deere hat… sigh… I’m now officially the guy that hangs around with the guy in the John Deere hat. Ryan believes the hat makes people around him more friendly because of the vibrant green color…. you can be the judge.

After our purchases we met up with our High school friend Wanda! She showed us a great time on the town, a lot of catching up was done and many of drinks were had.
Next we headed to Red Deer, but actually ended up in a little town to the west called Sylvan Lake. It was beautiful. It’s sorta a summer cottage town. The RV park there was actually closed but we went online and found the number. We called the park and a guy asked if were the RV parked out front. He agreed on a shady under the table deal of 20 bucks for electricity for the night.

Tom and Ryan enjoying some Fat Bastard. Notice our map of Canada on the wall! We trace our route as we travel it. Fun times indeed.
After a great night sleep at the lake we headed off to Calgary to meet up with our friend Andrea and then Wanda who was coming down from Edmonton. Calgary is a crazy place. You can tell people have money. There are fancy cars everywhere. Almost every single store you go into has positions available for a full or part time job. It’s neat up until you’re at a restaurant and it takes 20 mins to get the menus because they are so understaffed.

What would a visit to Calgary be without visiting the famous tower.

Departing from Calgary we made our way to Banff and Beyond.

Road sign.
We were both very excited about the mountains, which we got to see first hand today with a gondola ride up. The view was spectacular.

Well that’s it for now. We still have 6 days to go! Kamloops, Whistler, Vancouver and the Island. Exciting times! Stay tuned and thanks for all your feedback!
